ABOUT DEBBIE

𝑴𝒚 𝒘𝒉𝒐𝒍𝒆 𝒍𝒊𝒇𝒆, 𝑰 𝒘𝒂𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒅 𝒕𝒐 𝒉𝒆𝒍𝒑 𝒐𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒔. So, I became a teacher. 🍎

I started teaching in the Cleveland Public Schools right after I got married. It was stressful, and most nights I brought work home. After I had my two kids, I knew I needed a change.

I left the public schools and followed my children through their own schooling. I really loved teaching in a small private school – I loved my students, my fellow teachers, the parents. 😊I loved most putting on fundraising productions when I taught small groups of students dance numbers.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗱𝗼𝘄𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹. There wasn’t much money 💵left to put aside for retirement. And I was so busy helping others, I couldn't address it. When my children entered high school, I decided to focus on me. At the end of the day, 𝗺𝘆 𝗵𝘂𝘀𝗯𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗮 𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻. I needed my own plan.

I chose the financial advisory industry because it was the best way to learn for myself how to solve my own problems and help others at the same time.

I started by helping both public and private school teachers set up plans to help themselves and their families. Teachers are pulled in many directions – they help and give of themselves all day long, and then they take care of their own families when they get home. I was glad to take the financial piece off their shoulders.

When my mom passed away in 2016, I realized the 𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙡 𝙨𝙞𝙜𝙣𝙞𝙛𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚 of what I was doing. My mom was a smart, savvy, accomplished Real Estate Agent. You could feel the room light up when she walked in and everyone in our community knew her. 𝗦𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝘀𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗮𝗹𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗯𝗲 𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗻𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗿𝗲.

When the housing bubble burst in 2004, and then the recession in 2008, my mom’s finances were devastated. It devastated her personally, too. And it was too late by that time to fix things. My heart ached💔 as I watched my strong, confident Mom turn to and rely on her children and the government to get by each month. And like a spouse, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗴𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗮 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻.

𝙄 𝙖𝙢 𝙤𝙣 𝙖 𝙢𝙞𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙩𝙤 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙡𝙚𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙝𝙖𝙥𝙥𝙚𝙣 𝙩𝙤 𝙖𝙣𝙤𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙬𝙤𝙢𝙖𝙣. My PATH process focuses on you - your goals, priorities, plans, and values. I am passionate about helping women feel 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁, knowing they can 𝙛𝙤𝙘𝙪𝙨 𝙤𝙣 𝙝𝙚𝙡𝙥𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙤𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙨 𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝙙𝙖𝙮 𝙬𝙝𝙞𝙡𝙚 𝙄 𝙝𝙚𝙡𝙥 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙢 𝙙𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙡𝙤𝙥 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙞𝙧 𝙤𝙬𝙣 𝙥𝙡𝙖𝙣.👍️

In Debbie's free time you'll find her outside - walking Rookie, hiking in the nearby parks, and playing pickleball. Her family are her favorite people to hang out and spend time with.
